Social Change provides free expungement and record sealing clinics to remove barriers tied to past convictions.

A criminal record limits access to employment, housing, education, credit, and long term stability. Even after someone has completed their sentence, the consequences continue. Our clinics remove those barriers.

Working alongside trusted legal partners such as Rights and Restoration Law Group, we provide high-quality legal representation at no cost and combine legal relief with practical support for families.

Impact

In 2024, through six clinics, we averted over $303,000 in court fees and legal costs, helping 190 individuals pursue expungement and sealing.

In 2025, through expanded workshops and legal clinics, we served more than 230 individuals, filed 142 sealing petitions, and prevented an additional $170,000 in legal costs.

Together, this work has become an essential resource for individuals still grappling with the long-term consequences of record discrimination.
