New York
In honor of the 10 lives lost in a tragic massacre, the community of Buffalo, NY came together on July 16, 2022, to give back and continue collectively healing through service.
As a result of our collaborative efforts with AHF, BLACC, and Open Buffalo, 15 individuals directly impacted by the massacre received direct cash support to address their most basic needs. With the funds raised, we facilitated crucial assistance for those affected. One person had their furnace replaced, another had their car fixed, and several others received support for groceries, gas, and much-needed childcare that they wouldn't have otherwise been able to afford.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community partners who played a vital role in making this support possible:
National Pan-Hellenic Council @nphchq
Open Buffalo @openbuffalo
BLACC @aidshealthcare @imara.canady @blacc_ahf
Social Change @nycsocialchange @chisocialchange
African Heritage Co-op @africanheritagefoodcoop
We also express our appreciation to the dedicated volunteers who made this impactful day in New York a reality.
